Bishop Robert Thy Kingdom Come

Posted: 1st March, 2017

Between Ascension Day and Pentecost, the whole Church will be praying for Thy Kingdom Come, a prayer campaign led by the Archbishop of Canterbury. Watch the video by Bishop Robert to see how what we are doing in this diocese to grow in prayer, and how we can come together during these nine days to pray that more people may experience God’s love.

Templates for the prayer boxes shown in the video will be available from Monday 13 March from the Old Deanery, Exeter, St Mark’s Church Office, Plymouth, or from any of the archdeacons visitations.  Our hope is that people will bring their prayer boxes back to Exeter Cathedral as part of a big Pentecost prayer event on  June 4. More details about the Pentecost event will be posted shortly.

How can you get involved? Churches and other buildings will open for prayer every day and we are hoping people will get together in creative ways to pray. This could be a 24/7 prayer event, a pilgrimage, a retreat or any number of ways.
