The Cross looks over South Brent
A large wooden cross was carried to the top of Brent Hill on Good Friday and will stay there for the next few weeks, looking out over South Brent and local area.
62 people processed from the village centre to the top of Brent Hill with many others joining in along the way, as the cross stopped at various stations, to allow retired priest Derek Hamblin to lead prayers and hymns.
The heavy wooden cross has been carried along the same way since 1972.
Church member Nick Kendell said: “The cross can easily be visited for quiet contemplation over the coming weeks. On a clear day, you can enjoy the magnificent views over Dartmoor to the north and the South Hams and the coast to the south.”
