CAPTION: Living Churchyards

Display on Living Churchyards available for parishes

Posted: 25th June, 2018

As part of its Exeter Eco Diocese work our Church & Society team has produced a standing display on Living Churchyards which is available to parishes and Mission Communities.

In partnership with Devon Wildlife Trust, we are encouraging our churchyards to recognise their importance as heritage sites and wildlife havens. As the urban landscape expands with new housing and other developments, land around churches can help maintain habitats and species. To request the display, please email Joanie.

We are also organising a free workshop on bees and churchyards on 15 September. Some churches do have hives and others have colonies of wild bees. Anyone interested can book a place through David Curry our Diocesan Environment Adviser.

Please see event listing for further details.
