Exploring faith

Following Jesus is an exciting journey as he calls us to follow him and to be like him. Jesus also wants us to grow and mature together.
If you’re new to faith or a seasoned disciple but want to delve deeper we have a variety of ways we can help you on your journey.
Devon churches frequently run helpful courses and groups, in low key, relaxed and friendly ways, very different to the formality of Sunday services. You can meet with others, discuss issues and questions of faith and you won’t sing hymns or have to know how to act in church.
Maybe you are asking some of life’s bigger questions: What’s life all about? Does God exist? Is there more to life than this? If that’s the case then you may find Alpha helpful in providing a place to explore what you think.
Exploring Christianity looks at who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him.
Also, the Church of England in Devon offers a referral service to help find a spiritual director. This service simply aims to put you in touch with someone who can help you deepen your spirituality. That person, usually called a spiritual guide, companion or director, will encourage and help you to develop a more conscious experience of God’s presence in your life and God’s love for you.
