Continuing Ministerial Development

Lifelong learning and development is an important aspect of Reader Ministry. Continual Ministerial Development (CMD) is designed to help with this, building on Initial Ministerial Education and practical experience in ministry.

The annual residential weekend at Brunel Manor, Torquay is a major part of CMD. Further local training opportunities are arranged periodically through the year within each archdeaconry Readers group.

The annual 'Celebration of Reader Ministry' or 'Readers' Day' also includes during the morning a session which form part of CMD.

Other occassional CMD sessions are circulated by email as they become available.
