Rural Ministry
Rural Officer Sue Tucker comes from a farming family living in West Devon, much involved with sheep breeding and especially with the Jacob Sheep Society. This interest has also led to her active attendance at farming and agricultural events, where she has been both showing and judging sheep. She is a Reader in the Church of England and is very involved pastorally in her local parish.
Sue works with local churches and communities to encourage active support for Devon’s farmers and growers. She also tackles other rural issues such as affordable housing, community shops, poor transport, sustainable tourism and can advise on greater use of church-owned buildings and land.
