Clergy Spouses play an important role within the home, parish and wider community. We meet on a number of occasions during the year for friendship, fellowship & support.
Spice Support Group
As you may have noticed, we call ourselves Spice!
We have a small committee which organises a number of events during the year and we try to spread these events across the different areas of our diocese. Please let us know if you would like to be involved with this group.
You may want to come to one or more of the events, or at certain times and not others. Many value friendships begun at these events and built up over the years.
If you have not already done so and would like to be kept up to date with events and developments please could you send your up to date contact details (including address and email) to Chris Blade the Spice Administrator. Email Chris Blade.
Clergy Spouse Day at The Bishop’s Palace (pictured above)
Over 40 spouses came along to our big annual event where we had a talk from Matthew Caminer in the morning on ‘Life in the Vicarage’ followed by a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, we had a very entertaining session called ‘The Logic of Whistling’, poems and word-play by poet and performer, Richard Skinner.
