It is with great sorrow that we have received the news of the death of Pope Francis. Francis dedicated his life to the service of his Lord and Church and he was a friend to many different denominations including the Anglican Church. The new Bishop of Exeter, the Rt. Rev’d Dr Mike Harrison, has led his first Maundy Thursday Chrism Eucharist service at Exeter Cathedral. The service gets its name from the Chrism oils, used for anointing the sick and for baptism.
