Measuring your carbon footprint is the best place to start in your journey to reducing your contributions to climate change. Once you know your carbon footprint, and its breakdown into different activities, you can prioritise which areas to work on. This is true of the individual level and the church level.
To calculate your individual footprint, we recommend using the WWF calculator or ClimateHero.
To understand the carbon footprint of your church, we would really encourage you to use the Energy Footprint Tool, a national CofE resource, where all you need to do is enter the utility bills to find out the carbon footprint of your church. 360 carbon is also a great resource to use, created by Climate Stewards specifically for churches.
