700 Year-old Parish Church Celebrates Tenth Christmas Tree Festival

A breath-taking array of 67 Christmas trees decorated by charities, schools, businesses and organisations can be viewed at Tavistock Parish Church’s tenth Christmas Tree Festival.

Judy Hannaford Hirst, vice-chairman of organisers The Friends of St Eustachius’, said: “The Church of St Eustachius’ marking its 700th centenary this year looks forward to welcoming visitors from far and wide. Our tenth Christmas Tree Festival promises to be the best yet, with beautifully and imaginatively decorated trees, musical entertainment throughout, delicious refreshments and wonderful homemade Christmas gifts for sale.

“We are also open until 9.30pm for Tavistock’s  Dickensian Evening on Friday, December 7, so please come and join us for a glass of mulled wine.”
