Foundations in Christian Ministry
Foundations in Christian Ministry is a 1-year lay training course delivered by SWMTC for the diocese and now in its third run.
Do you feel you would like to serve the Church more, but are not sure of the direction?
Are you interested in preaching, or pastoral care, or evangelism, and feel the need for more training?
Would you like to work with others in a group, praying and learning together for a year while listening for God speaking about your vocation?
Peter Burren (see below) lives in Littleham, Exmouth and attends the Parish Church of St Margaret and St Andrew. Here he talks about why he decided to do the SWMTC Foundations in Ministry course, and what he has got out of the experience.
Mike Jefferies lives in Tavistock. He and his wife Annie have just completed the SWMTC Foundations in Ministry course. Here, he talks about the experience and what the course has given him.
A course description is below. For more information or an application form, email Belinda Speed-Andrews, Programmes Coordinator at SWMTC.
