Making the most of social media

Would you like to come to a free social media workshop led by the award-winning digital team from Church House Exeter?

You will learn the latest about using social media to engage with your church community and communicate with people of all ages living in your local area.

It will be a practical course with the chance to ask questions, gain confidence and get top tips from the experts.

The course is on Wednesday 3 July from 0930 to 1600 at the Pearson Centre, Exeter Cathedral.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch with you to share, alternatively you might like to visit some of the lovely cafes nearby.

The course, which is suitable for beginners to advanced, will cover Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. It will cover: what a profile should look like, what to post, how to measure success and paid advertising. It will also cover ‘A Church Near You’ and why your church should consider using it, safeguarding and dealing with negativity online.

If you would like to book your place, please use the online booking form below stating which parish you represent. The day is limited to 30 and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The course is in the Courses/Events section of the booking form (please click on the drop down arrow). The course will not appear when fully booked.

Please note that you must enter your name, parish role and a contact telephone number and email address in order for your booking to be processed.  Please also answer the ‘maths’ question before submitting the form as this proves you are not a robot!

If you have difficulties when booking, please email the communications team.

We would also be grateful if you could let us know if you have booked onto the course, but are no longer able to attend. Thank you and we look forward to meeting you on the day!
