Social Justice

‘You must defend those who are helpless and have no hope. Be fair and give justice to the poor and homeless.’ Proverbs 31:8

What can we do to help our churches and communities include everyone, particularly those who are vulnerable or different? Can we support projects and campaigns that address underlying causes of social injustice?

For over 100 years, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation has investigated the root causes of poverty, monitoring its effects on people and places in the UK.

This Guardian map shows areas at risk of poverty in the UK. It demonstrates the economic challenge of the rural communities including the South West.
