Stewardship and Finance Events Bookings
We are currently taking bookings for the following event (please scroll down to the booking form at the bottom of the page):
Parish Treasurer Training Days 2018
Dates/Venues:
- Saturday 16 June @ The Old Deanery in Exeter
- Thursday 21 June @ Holy Trinity Church in Barnstaple
- Tuesday 3 July @ St Luke’s Church in Buckfastleigh
Time: 10am to 4pm (lunch provided)
Cost: The training is free
This training day is designed for those Parish Treasurers who have been recently appointed. The training is primarily aimed at those operating receipts and payments accounts and will cover the key areas that you are likely to be asked to deal with in your role as a Parish Treasurer:
- Principles of accounts
- Annual report
- Budgeting
- Systems for record keeping
- Independent examination
- Gift aid, including small donations scheme
- VAT
- Employment issues
- Trusts
- Parish Giving Scheme
- Statutory fees
