Grants and Funding

Who are the major funders?

The major funders are The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Allchurches Trust and Devon Historic Churches Trust.

The Church Grants database

The Church Grants database can be used to search for possible funding for building and community projects. It lists hundreds of local and national funding sources relevant to churches as well as resources to help churches plan a fundraising campaign. There is also an interactive forum where people can ask questions and get advice.

A parish number is needed to access the site. This can be obtained by emailing Brigit Kiyaga or Stephen Mitchell, or by phoning Exeter’s Old Deanery reception on 01392 294940.

The DAC

The Diocesan Advisory Committee for the Care of Churches (DAC) can help with all aspects of conservation. Get them involved early. Find out about them here and what they have to say about funding and grants here.

Growing the Rural Church

Growing the Rural Church can also help rural churches with fundraising. You can find information here.
