Thy Kingdom Come prayer movement launched in Devon by Bishops Robert and Nick
THE Thy Kingdom Come prayer movement was launched in Devon this week by Bishop Robert and Bishop Nick.
Bishop Robert was in Sidmouth to listen to people and pray with them on Tuesday and Bishop Nick visited Costa in Plymstock on Thursday to offer prayers for people before visiting Plymstock school.
Bishop Robert began TKC with songs from Sidmouth primary school’s infant choir, before exploring prayer spaces with older pupils, then praying for the town and meeting people for ice creams, blessings and prayers in the town centre.
Bishop Nick was in Plymstock where he enjoyed conversation and prayer with customers at Costa Coffee before visiting Plymstock School where he took a lesson and answered questions before meeting a smaller group of pupils over lunch to talk about what prayer means to them.
More details about Thy Kingdom Come and this year’s theme can be found on the diocese website.
The days of prayer will culminate in a celebration event on Pentecost Sunday in Exeter Cathedral at 6.30pm, to which everyone is invited!
More pictures of both TKC launch events are available on our Facebook page.
