Around £7,000 has so far been raised through an Epiphany pilgrimage around the churches of the Totnes Mission Community led by two ‘wise’ men.

Rev John Luscombe and curate Steve Jones were joined by 15 other ‘wise’ men and women for the trek around all nine churches last weekend, 5 and 6 January. They are raising funds for their ‘Windows of Opportunity’ project at St John’s Church, Bridgetown, to replace 10 windows and to install a new kitchen and toilets.

The group of travellers were supplied with sustenance at each of the churches and retired priest and ‘wise’ man John Luscombe said: “It was a real community effort between those who walked and those who supported, and it brought the whole of the Totnes Team together in a unique way.”
