Associate Minister in the Culm Valley Mission Community
Closing date for applications: 5th February 2019
Interview date: 27th February 2019
We are seeking an ordained minister to work alongside the Rector to build up the mission and ministry in Kentisbeare, Blackborough and Ashill three rural villages in the Culm Valley Mission Community in Mid Devon. We are looking for someone who enjoys village life; a team worker who is comfortable reaching out to people of all ages and backgrounds.
We are situated on the edge of the beautiful Blackdown Hills, an AONB, within easy reach of the M5. With the Rector, you will have particular responsibility for the parish of St Mary’s Kentisbeare, a vibrant friendly village. You will also assist with services in the wider Mission Community, including St Stephen’s Ashill (a chapel of ease) and in Blackborough.
This is a part time post (33% of fte stipend) and includes housing. It will include taking services on a Sunday plus the equivalent of working two and a half days a week with the willingness to employ flexible hours. Kentisbeare, Blackborough and Ashill are in the Diocese of Exeter, which is committed to growing in prayer, making more disciples and serving the people of Devon with joy.
