Team Vicar for the Sid Valley Mission Community with responsibility for St Giles Sidbury, St Peter’s Sidford and
St Francis Woolbrook

We are three churches (two parishes with a combined ER of 128) to the north of the beautiful town of Sidmouth. We need a vicar who will pastor the existing committed congregations while building on a number of exciting recent initiatives in partnership with other churches in the Sid Valley to deliver growth and renewal.
We are praying for a Vicar who
• Is a strong team player, excited at the prospect of joining the team and who has a proven track record of working collaboratively across traditions to support and enable mission
• Will reach out into the community and has good teaching and pastoral abilities
• Will nurture and develop renewed vision for our churches
• Will build on, enliven and expand our existing worship and is able to relate to old and young alike
We can offer
• Warm and friendly church communities
• Vibrant local schools with established church connections
• A strong team including experienced churchwardens and PCCs as well as the opportunity to draw on skills and expertise in the wider mission community that includes readers and supportive active retired clergy
• A beautiful countryside/ seaside environment
Working alongside the current Team Rector and new Team Vicar, the post holder will be licensed to the team with responsibility for leadership of St Giles Sidbury with St Peter’s Sidford and St Francis Woolbrook.
