Volunteers Give Weekly Food Hampers Easter Upgrade
As it was Holy Week last week, Transforming Plymouth Together, who have been supporting St Pancras’ weekly food hamper collection, decided to give everyone who received a hamper a packet of chocolate eggs.
In total, over 100 parents and children received a bag of eggs with their food hamper. The hampers are put together with food donated by DCFA and Fare Share.

Hannah Fleming-Hill is a Project Support Development Worker for Transforming Plymouth Together.
She said: “Obviously we don’t get to chat with the families that much when they come to collect the hampers but Mariska who is coordinating it all from home, has had some lovely, grateful texts from them saying thank you.”
“It’s been a brief (and social distancing respected) but lovely chance for the church to see people and show support to those in need.”

Easter treats for food hamper recipients
Transforming Plymouth Together has recently received just over £7,000 from Devon Community Foundation to amend their Feast of Fun programme in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
They will use the funding for a ‘Feast of Fun at Home’ giving families some food and craft/activities to do at home.
Hannah said: “It’s great to know we’re able to do something to support those in need during these complicated times.”
