The new Bishop of Crediton-Designate, the Venerable Moira Astin, joined shanty singers and school children in a sing song as part of her announcement day tour of Devon. The new Bishop of Crediton will be the Venerable Moira Astin. Her appointment was announced by Downing Street after her nomination was approved by the King. From Lands End to Cranbrook: Church begins Fundraising Trek for Worship and Community Space
One church in Devon is lacing up their walking boots as they begin their trek from Land’s End to Cranbrook as part of their fundraising campaign. A new ‘pop-up’ pilgrimage route has been launched at this year’s Devon County Show. The Shepherd’s Way is a walking route around the Westpoint Showground, with a number of clues to find along the way and a prize for anyone who completes it. Primary School’s work tackling global poverty recognised with Christian Aid Silver award
Pupils at Landscove Church of England Primary School, near Ashburton, have been presented with a Silver Award from Christian Aid’s Global Neighbours Scheme for their global citizenship work. Christian Aid’s Global Neighbours scheme is an accreditation programme that celebrates schools which are helping pupils learn about global poverty and the Christian responsibility to tackle it. Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of VE Day
The Bishop of Exeter, the Rt. Rev’d Dr Mike Harrison, joined hundreds of others at Plymouth Hoe On Thursday 8 May 2025 to mark the 80th Anniversary of VE Day.
