EDEN
EDEN works closely with the Diocese Board of Education and its officers in the Education Team. EDEN is however a separate private limited company without share capital use of ‘Limited’ exemption and was incorporated in July 2011. It has its own Board of Trustees and produces an annual report and financial statement.

EDEN provides a member to sit on the Members’ Board of each academy trust with Church Articles of Association. Members hold Directors to account for upholding the objects of the company. EDEN member representatives have an important role which includes ensuring Directors/Trustees hold Executive Leaders to account for ensuring Church of England Academies are ‘conducted in accordance with the principles, practices and tenets of the Church of England both generally and in particular in relation to arranging for religious education and daily acts of worship’.
