Pop-Up Pilgrimage Route Based on Psalm 23 Launched at Devon County Show
A new ‘pop-up’ pilgrimage route has been launched at this year’s Devon County Show. The Shepherd’s Way is a walking route around the Westpoint Showground, with a number of clues to find along the way and a prize for anyone who completes it. Primary School’s work tackling global poverty recognised with Christian Aid Silver award
Pupils at Landscove Church of England Primary School, near Ashburton, have been presented with a Silver Award from Christian Aid’s Global Neighbours Scheme for their global citizenship work. Christian Aid’s Global Neighbours scheme is an accreditation programme that celebrates schools which are helping pupils learn about global poverty and the Christian responsibility to tackle it. Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of VE Day
The Bishop of Exeter, the Rt. Rev’d Dr Mike Harrison, joined hundreds of others at Plymouth Hoe On Thursday 8 May 2025 to mark the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. Devon’s Bishops join 2400 young people on Dartmoor for start of Ten Tors Challenge
The bishops of Exeter and Plymouth joined more than 2400 young people for the start of the Ten Tors Challenge on Dartmoor on 10 May. Devon Church’s Poppy Cascade Commemorates VE Day 80th Anniversary
The Bishop of Exeter has taken part in a service at a church in Devon to bless over 6000 hand-knitted and crocheted poppies, made to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day. The stunning 64ft Remembrance Poppy Cascade is displayed cascading from the church tower at St Peter’s church in Bratton Flemming, North Devon.
