Bishop Robert installs Rev Matthew Tregenza as new rector in Crediton
Hundreds of people attended a service to install the Rev Matthew Tregenza as the new Rector of the Crediton, Sandford with Upton Hellions and Shobrooke group of churches on Monday 4 March.
The service at Crediton Parish Church was officiated by Rt Rev Robert Atwell, Bishop of Exeter.
It began with a procession and incuded singing by the Crediton Parish Church and Sandford Choirs. Mrs Antonia Tregenza, Matthew’s wife, did the reading.
Before taking up his new role Matthew was Rector of the Benefice of Bishops Lydeard and Rural Dean of Tone Deanery in the Diocese of Bath and Wells.
