Invitation to join our Eco Champs network!
We are developing our Eco Champs network, for people from local parishes and we’d like to invite you to join. Please respond to let me know if you’d like to be part of it.
Sometimes it can feel a bit lonely if you’re the only one in your congregation working on this. So, we want to set up this network to provide peer support, shared learning, and generally energise each other by coming together. It also means we can easily let the right people know about new grants and opportunities as soon as we hear about them.
Maybe you’ve been working on Eco Church or Net Zero projects for yonks and you have lots of advice to share. Maybe you’re just starting out and you want to learn from others. Maybe you’re somewhere in the middle and you just want to feel encouraged by what’s going on around the diocese. Then this network is for you. If you feel awkward about being called an Eco Champ, think of it as just an Eco Contact
What do you have to do?
- Be a point of contact, so we can send you info about upcoming grants, projects and opportunities.
- Share! We’d love you to pass on info to make sure that people in your churches, mission communities and deaneries get the low down on net zero and creation care projects.
- Your name and email address will be shared with the network and also which church you’re part of, so members can easily find their neighbours.
We’d like to have bi-monthly Zoom meetings with useful speakers, and an annual in person meet-up. Plus, a system that allows us to share info ad hoc with each other.
But this network is for you, the Eco Champs in the parishes. So, we’ll work for you to make it useful for you all. All ideas welcome.
Let us know that you’d like to join by emailing eco@exeter.anglican.org with your name, church and your role in the church.
