Primary School’s work tackling global poverty recognised with Christian Aid Silver award
Pupils at Landscove Church of England Primary School, near Ashburton, have been presented with a Silver Award from Christian Aid’s Global Neighbours Scheme for their global citizenship work. Christian Aid’s Global Neighbours scheme is an accreditation programme that celebrates schools which are helping pupils learn about global poverty and the Christian responsibility to tackle it. The Bishop of Exeter, the Rt. Rev’d Dr Mike Harrison, joined hundreds of others at Plymouth Hoe On Thursday 8 May 2025 to mark the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. The bishops of Exeter and Plymouth joined more than 2400 young people for the start of the Ten Tors Challenge on Dartmoor on 10 May.
