The Bishop of Exeter was at St Mary Mags church in central Torquay on Sunday 20 September for a service to celebrate 15 years of the Living Room Community Cafe which serves members of the community experiencing homelessness, addiction or loneliness. The Bishop of Exeter’s new Chaplain is to be Rev’d Edward Day, it has been announced. Edward is currently assistant curate at Wells Cathedral in Somerset. The Bishop’s Chaplain is an assistant, advisor and liturgical helper to a diocesan bishop at major services and in their pastoral and administrative duties. The Rev’d Canon Greg Bakker has been appointed as the Diocese of Exeter’s first Mission Community Development Minister. Team Vicar Completes 62-Mile Challenge to Support Rural Churches and Communities
