There are lots of ways to get involved with caring for creation. Please see the info below for training, courses, webinars, videos and events that we would encourage you to take part in!

Training

We regularly run Creation Care courses for clergy, LLM’s and lay people. All of our courses can be found on the Cultivate page of our website. We regularly run Carbon Confidence and Carbon Literacy Courses. Trainings are also available on subjects such as Eco Church, Sustainable Schools, Environment as a Mission Field and more. You will also find many other courses on the above link run by our Mission and Ministry Team colleagues.

1. National Church of England Net Zero 2030 – Great resources for churches, especially their webinar series.

2.  A Rocha – a Christian charity working for the protection and restoration of the natural world. Founders of Eco-Church.

3. Climate Sunday – Host a climate Sunday service at your church

4. Preaching for God’s World– Resources and notes to equip leaders with theological reflections on environmental care.

5. Green Christian – we work to care for creation through prayer, living simply, public witness, campaigning and mutual encouragement.

6. Caring for God’s Acre – resources for managing your churchyard/cemetery for nature.

7. Carbon Literacy – increasing awareness of the carbon cost and impact of everyday activities – we run these courses in house, please see cultivate for details on dates and to book.

8.  Energy Footprint Tool, a CofE resource, where you simply enter your church utility bills to find the carbon footprint of your church.

9. Tearfund –  working with local churches around the world to tackle poverty. See their resources on climate change.

11.Christian Climate Action – Christians in Extinction Rebellion, carrying out acts of public witness to urge those in power to make changes..

12. Hope for the Future –  equipping communities, groups and individuals to communicate the urgency of climate change with their local politicians.
