Churchwarden training days

Training sessions for Churchwardens will be held around the Diocese in October and November. These will be led by the Archdeacons, with training provided by diocesan staff from different departments. The training is primarily aimed at those who are relatively new to their post, to provide a basic introduction to the role and responsibilities of the Churchwarden, but anyone is welcome to attend.

Areas to be covered this year are:

  • The role of the Churchwarden – challenges and opportunities
  • Parishes and the Law
  • Parish Accounts
  • Lay Discipleship Opportunities
  • Changes to local Church Organisation and Support for your Church Buildings
  • Human Resources and Safeguarding Support

Training will be offered on a ‘first come first served’ basis as spaces are limited. Please use the online booking form below and contact your Archdeacon’s office if you have any questions.
