Online Church Services, Prayers & Worship

This Sunday

This Sunday we will be joining Brixham Mission Community for their online service. John Gay will be preaching on Colossians 3:16: ‘Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching… wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.’

Video sermons to download and use in your services

Each week one of our bishops, archdeacons or another member of our senior clergy will be filming a 10 minute talk based on the Lection readings for that Sunday. They will be available to download on our Vimeo page from the Thursday before.

This week Jackie Searle, Bishop of Crediton, recorded a reflection on the theme of Sharing the Good News:

Last week Andrew Beane, Archdeacon of Exeter, recorded a reflection on the theme of Worship, Welcome and Wonder:

Bishop Robert recorded a special Harvest reflection:

You can also view the sermons on our Youtube channel.

These are designed to be used by churches and small groups in online worship and can also be shown on screen in your in person church services. We welcome your feedback!

Re-creation and Refreshment

During August we offered 4 reflections for lay and ordained leaders across the Diocese to take a moment for spiritual refreshment and re-creation. They were led by Bishop Robert, Bishop Nick, Bishop Jackie and the Dean of Exeter Cathedral, Jonathan Greener. You can still view them here:
