In Person Basic and Foundation Training
Where possible, Basic Awareness and Foundation Safeguarding training modules should be completed online via the National Safeguarding Training Portal. However, we recognise that some volunteers are unable to access the internet or find online learning a challenge. With this in mind, we can deliver both of these modules in-person over the course of a morning in your church/parish. This training is delivered by our dedicated team of volunteer trainers who have been recruited by the Diocese to help make safeguarding training more accessible.
If your parish or mission community has 12 or more volunteers who might benefit from in-person training, please complete this form and we will ask one of our volunteer trainers to contact you to organise a session.
Please note:
- the parish will need to record attendance locally as any training delivered in person is not registered on the National Safeguarding Training Portal
- parishes will need to provide their own certificates – our trainers have blank copies for you to use if you wish
- please ensure your parish has the facility to project a slide deck and has adequate audio visual equipment
