Parish Safeguarding Representative (PSR) Induction:

In addition to completing the National Leadership Pathway training, all new Parish Safeguarding Representatives will also need to complete the Parish Safeguarding Representative Induction. Please make sure that you have informed the Safeguarding Team, using the Change of Parish Safeguarding Representative Form (available via the Parish Toolkit for Safeguarding page), that you are the new PSR for your parish.

The induction is delivered in one 2-3 hour session (please allow up to 3 hours, although we aim to finish within 2 hours) which will be via Zoom. Participants will need access to a computer, tablet or smart phone with internet access and a camera and microphone in order to take part. The course includes pre-course reading which will need to be undertaken prior to the session and a post course task to complete after the session in order to gain certification and completion. Information will be emailed to you ahead of the course along with Zoom joining instructions. There will be a maximum of 12 participants on each Zoom session. Bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis.

Parish DBS Evidence Checker Seminar:

Seminars are run periodically to provide support to those who are either new in their role as Parish DBS Evidence Checker or those who have been in role for a while and would like a refresher. The Seminars are run by the DBS by our Regional Outreach Worker. They are 1.5 hours long and cover general information regarding DBS checks as well as information on how to determine eligibility for Enhanced Level checks. There is no pre or post course work required for this course.

• Course dates with available places can be found in the drop-down list beneath each module in the Courses/Events section of the booking form below. Please note: once courses become fully booked they no longer appear on the booking form.
• Please note that you must enter your name, parish role and a contact telephone number and email address in order for your booking to be processed. Please ensure the information you enter here is correct.
• Please also answer the simple arithmetical question before submitting the form as this proves your booking is genuine.
• Booking confirmation will be sent by automated email. Please do check your junk and spam folders for emails if you do not receive them.
